Mid-west netowrk affiliate seeks a Morning Newscast Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the Newscast Producer with all aspects of a two-hour newscast and cut-ins, directing newscasts, creating graphics, training and supervising production staff. Director must have working knowledge of Phillips DD-35 Switcher, studio cameras, audio board operation, Type-Deko graphics machine and Panasonic DVC-Pro videotape machines. Our successful candidate will be able to direct a newscast without additional training. This is not a job for beginners! Must be able to work holidays and fill in as needed. The schedule is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Broadcast Degree and minimum of 1-year directing experience preferred, college-directing experience considered.
